I would conclude it as a wonderful unique performance and not his concert. Indeed, it belongs to all associated people. Beforehand, he claimed it on media that he will produce/contribute the best to SG this night and time. He need not eat his words. His entire crews, male or female, Chinese or non Chinese, are of best elites from Asian countries nearby. He choreographed the stage layout and contents well.
Though there were no guest stars- the fair lady seated playing the
pipa 琵琶, the Chinese lady dancing gracefully with her long white silky sleeves, our very own SG Indian guy on the traditional Indian hand drums, the glittery belly dancer, the 3 other versatile talented bright background vocalists, is more then enough to stage as guest stars for David’s performance. See the catch! You don’t normally find such cultural artistry performance evident on a Mando pop concert right? Now you get what I meant by performance and not concert?
3 solid hours of pure entertainment from (of course) singing to (something like David’s character) joking, for $111- no questions about it! It is value for money and worthwhile. He joking mentioned about our SG flyer: “
So slow and so expensive lah!” I strongly agree! All his well-known signature ballads/numbers and new renditions are well-liked and refreshing. The must-have:
