It took place at BK Pearl Centre, Outram Park. Cousin June broke out the terrible bad news of grandma backing out to Shanghai with Aunt and Aunt’s Mother-in-Law. Heated, unsatisfied, unwilling, rough argument occurred way before when there is a travel fair at Suntec City Convention. Aunt took the initiative to book the tickets for her mother-in-law and mother, intending to have a comfortable light-hearted happy ladies’ holiday despite the daily work in the office. Upon hearing from her friends that Shanghai is turning chill and cold as winter is approaching near, she could not handle the cold due to her present elderly condition. Grandma is indecisive, could not make up her half-hearted mind to travel or stay put at home. Every Saturday, whenever Aunt came to grandma’s house, they would embark on this topic naturally reluctantly. Finally, grandma prefers to be on save mode, becoming more concern towards her health and physical condition. She rejected the free trip to travel.
The rest of us including Aunt expected it some how yet took it calmly and in turn, offer the opportunity to her daughter June instead. Cousin June wanted a sweet escape eagerly desperately, as soon as possible, at an affordable cost, best on that very minute accompanied with her man, to avoid and take a break from facing her fiercely aloof unreasonable Caucasian lady boss. She held back, hesitated for quite awhile. Knowing it is quite forceful to get her daughter go, Aunt pulled Uncle in. Surprising Cousin June with that air ticket sponsorship, June displayed a grin and was delighted. I was happy and anxious for her. I could feel the joy with that beam of smile from ear to ear. I cannot wait or held any longer to share my 4mth experience and life at Pu Xi, Shanghai. However, lunch time was short. I shall wait till a nearer time to organize a family meeting/discussion with them all.
In conjunction to this, came another fabulous wondrous long-awaited news… I was seriously thinking considering, pulling my hair for quite some time whether to or not to. I hope this will be a worthy paid-off. Again, I am slapping on with a hefty huge stake when my income could barely make ends meet. Right now, I will keep all in suspense…
